Kagyu Monlam Preparation Committee
Official website of the team of dedicated people who oversee the Monlam at Bodhgaya, India, one of the most frequented and ancient Buddhist pilgrimage sites in the world. This Kagyu ceremony is lead HH the 17th Gyalwang Karmapa, the head of the Kagyu school who bestows teachings and empowerments on more than 3000 monks, nuns and other students every year. It is an elaborate affair, one that involves traditions like the erection of massive butter sculptures of Marpa, Milarepa, and Dagpo and the setting up of gigantic and ornate altars, and therefore requires an immense amount of preparation each year. The website features specifics about location, teachings, membership, the history of the Monlam and of the Kagyu lineage and sponsorship programs for the monastics.

The Neydo Foundation

The Nangchen Yushu Educational and Medical Association
NYEMA, the Tibetan word for the sun, was founded in 1997 by Lama Norlha Rinpoche and Dr. Pema Dorje to support people living in their native homeland, Nangchen, Tibet, which is situated on the Tibetan plateau north of the Himalayas. There are appx. 60,000 families in the area, many of whom rely on assistance from the NYEMA for continued education and health care.

The Gongchig Translation Project
It started in 2005 at the University of Copenhagen, aiming at the translation of the root text of one-hundred and ninety vajra statements, including the commentary by Rigdzin Chokyi Dragpa who lived between 1595 and 1659. the Gongchig is viewed as the great philosophical scripture of the whole Dagpo Kagyu tradition.
